About WIS-CO
WIS-CO is your friendly, small town island coffee shop built on a passion to serve homemade bakery, gelato, and espresso drinks using locally sourced ingredients as much as possible. It’s located on Main Road near the middle of town.
A Matter of Taste
There's a reason our regulars have been coming back for more. Word of mouth has been our only advertisement - but happy mouths are the best ambassadors!
1
Fresh, Homemade Food
We strive to make all our bakery, gelato, and breakfast items in house using recipes we’ve been designing and refining to taste the best. We try and offer some gluten-friendly, vegan, and dairy-free options.
2
Local Ingredients
We try to partner with as many local island, Door County, or WI-based companies. We work with our small batch roaster to provide the best tasting coffee and espresso beans. We also partner with Seaquist Orchards, Sweet Mountain Farms, and Hollander Chocolate Company.
3
Better Beverages
We offer a variety of drink options and seasonal drink specials. From espresso drinks, to plant-based Lotus energy drinks, tea, and smoothies, we’ve got plenty of choices to reach all ages and caffeine fix levels.

History of WIS-CO
Meet the Owners
Miranda and Jake have always enjoyed cooking and baking together. When they moved to the island in 2016, they dreamed of someday opening a bed and breakfast, but little did they know they’d have the opportunity to consider a different business prospect. In 2021 they were presented the opportunity to purchase the business at 1219 Main Road. Seeing a need for a place to be open year-round, they began to brainstorm how they could use their passions to fulfill this need.
Jake Dahlke
Jake has always had a knack for baking and cooking. He’s critical, yet playful, with flavor combinations as he taste-tests his way to the perfect blend of seasonings or spices. He’s spent over a decade tweaking the pizza dough recipe featured on Friday Nights throughout the winter. Year-round he is the mastermind behind the sweet and savory scones.
Miranda Dahlke
Miranda has worked as a barista for over a decade in Door County during her summers, and has taught middle and high school students the rest of the year. Opening WIS-CO allowed her to blend her espresso drink-making skills with her passion to bake simple and delicious treats. Her favorite item to make is cinnamon rolls. She’s been perfecting this recipe for over a decade, using holidays with her family to test-trial the current recipe featured in the shop.
